Emmie attended the University of Texas at Austin and received her B.S. in Geology in 2018. She then went on to earn her M.S. in Geology from the University of Houston in 2020. In 2021, she published her graduate work “Effects of contemporaneous orogenesis on sedimentation in the Late Cretaceous Western Interior Basin, northern Utah and southwestern Wyoming” in Basin Research.

As a geologist for bp, Emmie specialized in deep water Gulf of Mexico reservoir development and exploration. She worked as a geologist on the Miocene Mad Dog field, identifying infill drilling and field extension opportunities. As a member of the Paleogene exploration team, Emmie generated new prospects and helped to select prospects for future investment.

In her current role for Davis Holdings, Emmie assists in managing the mineral portfolio and active well operations in southeast and west Texas. She also leads the technical evaluation of new drilling opportunities.
